This patient is a 37 year old marathon runner and mother of two. She came saying that she wanted breast fullness but did not want her implants to interfere with her running. Because of her two children, she had some glandular ptosis, droopy breast tissue, as well as a flat upper pole of her breast. Dr. Bain performed a special technique when placing the breast implant that is used to help to lift the aerola just a little bit.
Dr. Bain can use this technique to modify the position of the aerola without scars on the breast. It can only be used on some patients and doesn't replace a full breast lift. You can ask him at your consultation if it is right for you.
In this patient, smooth round, moderate profile saline implants filled to 360 cc. were placed. They did not interfere with her running, although she says that she wears two sports bras for comfort.
She is tanned in her post op photos because they were taken in the summer. She is training without difficulty again. |
